Summer vacations: Art, fashion, Friends and Fun

With summer vacations around the corner, the house will be filled  with laughter and cries of the kids around. It's also the perfect time when our relatives pay a visit. Children get a chance to meet their cousins as well. I hope you can imagine the sound at home. Last year, my brother and his kids dropped in. The fun that they had was like unimaginable. It was amusing to watch them playing, as relatives dropping in or get together with cousins are very rare nowadays.  

During the summer vacations, many of us get to hear a dialogue often "Mumma, we are bored" If you are also one of the victims of this dialogues at your home then the below blog can help you. It incorporates fun ideas to keep them engaged for the summers. Read on to find out.

1. Art 

Engage your munchkins in painting classes so that they can learn the magic of colors. You can also make them learn DIYs from the internet. Many channels on YouTube keep posting different DIY for kids which are very innovative. If you find them difficult, below are five easy "Do It Yourself" crafts that you can teach your kids.  

• Turn a regular fan into an amazing rainbow one 

If you have an old table fan at your home, ask your children to paint the fan with different colors.     

• Lady bug rocks 

You get tiny pebbles and rocks in the aquarium pet shops which are really cheap. Grab them and ask them to paint their favorite characters on them. Below is a picture of a lady bug, you can also try minions, fruits, vegetables as well. Later they can use them as attractive paperweights.   

• Emoticons on eggs 

Download the pictures of emoticons and ask them to paint in on eggs. After finishing you can decorate them on showpiece.    

• Play it with cotton  

Probably, this is the cheapest and easiest method that children can follow. Ask them to draw pictures of animals and fill it colored cotton instead of paints. You can frame them after completing. You can also create characters as below.    

• Fun with papers 

Try some icons like above and give them a support with the help of sticks. You can also color the sticks. Click adorable selfies once they are done with their crafts.       

2. Friends  

 

We were quite lucky to have a childhood before technology took over. So, we used to play many outdoor games which had reduced in huge number in the current generation. Engage your children in games classes like tennis, badminton, basketball etc. So, that they make more friends and play with them other than spending time on computers and mobile phones.

3. Fashion  

 

Summer fashion is something that all of us need to concentrate. You can get tons of kids fashion dresses online that they’ll love. There are a plethora of boys shirts and T-shirts, girls dress that they will look cute on them. Grab them and you can host a photo shoot for them.     

4. Altogether fun  

So, when you combine all the three above together, the munchkins are sure to have a super duper fun summer vacations.

Party Time with the Tutu's!

So, finally, there was hardly a week left for my daughters 4th birthday. Krisha and Samaira (my girls) have been eagerly waiting for their day since two months. Both the girls and Abhinav(My husband) are best friends when it comes to shopping. Not all men are fond of shopping. Even Abhinav belonged to the majority gang who hates shopping with women. During our college days, I had to literally drag him to the malls or stores. That was long back when we were like kids. Now we are happily married couples and also the proud parents of adorable twins. My husband is very attached to his bunnies and never fails to spend time with them. He finally had to learn the shopping tactics to bring a smile on the munchkin's faces when they created tantrums at the shopping malls.  

He steps into every kid's store and comes out empty handed without purchasing anything. It's very hard to impress him at times. And then, finally, Foreverkidz came to rescue, which was suggested by one of his colleagues. I'm glad that we gave a try. The store has made online shopping for kids much easier than we actually thought. It has a plethora of tutu dresses for girls that we ended up buying a bunch of em. Below are some of the outfits that we really liked and will love them to share with you as well.

1. The Pink Fantasy Tutu Dress

This adorable pink tutu dress has little roses embedded on the top of the dress. The tulle fabric of the skirt is stitched with the perfect fluff and meters to give a perfect fuzziness down there. The best part of the outfit is the straps on the shoulders which hold as a support and does not allow sliding down from the sides.

2. Lil Miss Sassy Couture

This attire was loved by all of us including the girls. It features flowers and petals flowing on the top. The belt around the waist gives a perfect fit as well. The bottom is made with yards of flowing pink tulle with soft satin lining inside.

 3. The Lilac perfection Tutu Gown

 

The attire is made of a beautiful purple color that makes both of our angels stand out like an attractive lily. The bottom of the dress has yards and yards of purples and mauve to create a voluminous fluff. The best part is the violet-purple ribbon to tie for sleeves on shoulder. Krisha is so addicted to this one that she has been donning the same for family outings as well.    

4. The Sunshine Splash Baby Dress

This short attire is best for all the naughty kids who can’t stay at one place. It comes in a knee-length design. The top of the dress is simple satin that stays soft on the skin with knee length fluffs attached to the dress. We styled it with matching ballerinas and headbands.

5. Beige Beauty Tutu Dress

  

This pretty white dress is an absolutely charming way to dress for a party. It features a fluff with net long length. The soft satin underlining skirt stays soft on the skin. The full, fluffy and fancy dress is loved by Samaira. The Selfie queen never fails to grab her father’s phone for selfie’s when she slips into this attire.
