How to Dress your Newborn in Summers?

Congratulations to be the proud parents. Some new parents go haphazardly when the seasons change. You should know that babies grow fast and spending a lot of money for them at that moment is utter foolishness. The growth rate of the little one really fast and you never know that the by the time you pick one boys party wear he’ll outgrow it. Hence, it is best not to spend oodles of money on outfits in the smallest sizes. In the first few weeks, your baby needs clothes that are comfortable and easy to get on and off.

Infant Clothing

1. Newborn clothes: sizes

You should know those baby clothes comes in sizes depending on their age groups. From ‘size 000’ which is denoted as Age 0 - 12 months and gradually it increases as the age of the baby increases. From 0 months to 12 years old, this is the kid’s age group. Some bigger newborns might be ready to go straight into a size 12-1year. You might have to roll the sleeves up, but it won’t be for long.

Sizes vary between types of clothes and manufacturers, so it’s worth comparing kids fashion dresses to other garments you already have, rather than relying only on the size of the label.
Because babies really do grow very fast, you might want to try buying the minimum number of clothes in each size. Keep the party dresses for boys for later and focus on the comfort of the little one.

2. How many clothes does a newborn need?

You’ll need plenty of changes of clothes. As a guide, the following will see you through for a newborn baby:
  • LOTS and lots of diapers
  • A couple of singlets/onesies
  • Numerous jumpsuits
  • Three t-shirts and shirts (t-shirts more than the shirts)
  • Three cotton bunny rugs and three muslin (gauze) wraps
  • A couple of cotton hats for the summer heat
  • A few pairs of socks

3. What kinds of clothes do newborns need?

Stretchy onesies with button flaps from top to bottom. You should avoid zippers in every possible case. This would some day or the other be a problem for you. Do not go for tricky dresses. Well, every dress is tricky to put up and take off when you have a newborn because they are delicate. The fabric of the ethnic wear for kids or even the rompers should be absolutely soft. The comfort is everything for the baby who’s just born and is only about a few weeks or months.

5 tips for new moms to consider

Congratulations on being a new mother. You know that new feeling inside you. Well, your baby isn’t the only one who’s trying to adapt to the new world. You too are the one who’s trying your best to adopt the new life with a little soul totally dependent on you for his/basic needs. Life as a new mom is always amazing, often surprising and — let's be honest — sometimes completely intimidating. But being a newbie doesn't mean you can't handle your new role like a pro.

Mommy with kid

We’ve laid down the list of 5 tips that will help you cope up with the feeling of being a new mom.

1. Don’t pretend to be quiet when the little one sleeps

You would have heard people hushing away others when the little ones sleep. Well, you shouldn’t do that. When my little one was born, we made sure that we did our daily work as it was, talked on the phone, did the work in the kitchen and everything else also and my kiddo learned to sleep with all the noise also. Hence, you shouldn’t hush-hush everyone while your baby sleeps.

2. Be Prepared - in time

The first few weeks would be difficult for the little baby and for you too, but within that time-span, you’ll be able to understand the schedule of the little one. When he/she feels hungry, when does he/she sleep, how long does he/she sleep, and more. Having this known, you can be prepared well in advance to make sure that your little one doesn’t cry too loud that you get irritated.

3. Don’t let the baby sleep while feeding

When a baby’s stomach is full, he/she sleeps longer. However, parents don’t mind their kids sleeping while being fed and as a result, they wake up after a short nap. Rub your little one’s cheek while he’s/she’s eating/drinking to make the process faster and abstaining them from falling asleep. Once the kid has had the full portion of food, he/she would sleep to the fullest and wake up when he/she pee’s or is hungry.

4. Go online for buying the new clothes

Adjusting to the new feeling takes time and you want your little one to look stunning even if he’s pocket size (just kidding). You should not take a lot of pain and invest in kids online shopping when you don’t want to go out and shop. It leaves no room for mistakes (when you shop from a trusted store) and gets quality products too.

5. Let the baby bond with daddy

Your kid needs alone time with daddy too - every day. When the baby gets to see, feel and touch the father around on the regular basis, he/she will be able to bond with him too. That should be taken care of when it comes to being a mother.

Why should parents care about Kid's fashion?

This was just another day when we were in the middle of a gathering at home talking something serious when my daughter (10) came out of her room just to show me what she had done to one of her dresses. That discussion turned into an eerie silence because her shoulders were drooping and one can actually see her unmentionables. It was that day when I thought I need to have a discussion about what kind of clothes she should be wearing and what needs to be avoided.

Kid's fashion

Has something similar ever happened to you? Every parent in today’s time is struggling with quite a number of things that are no good for them and later make them anxious. As a parent, I would want to ask you whether you want to be concerned about your little one’s fashion sense or not.

There are a number of reasons why you as a parent should also be caring about what goes into your tiny tot's wardrobe.

1. Because the trends are changing

With the times changing at such a fast pace and so are the trends, that’s exactly where you need to focus on. The styles that are being introduced in the market are of every kind. Now, what your little chooses to wear is definitely your concern. When you don’t want them to look too flashy or weird.

2. Because the role models are wrong

You know how the kids are being wrongly guided by the role models that they have. Whether it is the actors in the movie or a few cartoons, having role models (the wrong ones) is not good for your kid. Role models affect your little one’s brain in terms of showing them obscene content, wrong clothes and more. Even kids lehenga choli or sarees are not worth buying sometimes as they intend to be more seductive than smart ortw fashionable.

3. Because the kids are growing

In the growing years of the tiny tots, they are vulnerable and adopt what they see. When they see a lot of trends on the television and also around them, they’ll adopt the same. Hence, you should be teaching them how their choices should be and what kind of kids fashion dresses they should be wearing. Buy them those and encourage them to wear fashionable clothes that bring their cheerfulness and the smartness to the forefront rather than anything else.
