How to encourage kids to learn?

Don’t we all have numerous example in front of us to show that all geniuses aren’t born in school? Some of them are remembered today because they did something different with their own will and out of their inquisitiveness. For example, Albert Einstein.

Kids Learning

Now you understand!!

However, we try our best to make our kids learned people at school and to top it off, tuitions do the rest. Well, that’s not how things work if you really want them to work.

Your little one will learn when he/she will love to do the same. If there’s nothing that attracts them or amuses them, it won’t be of your type. The pressure of not doing well at school because of lack of interest will create anxiety issues in your child and create more problems.

So, that’s why we’ve compiled a list of ways with which you can help your child love to learn things.

1. Entertain their questions

You have been there and you’ve done that too. You’ve eaten your parent’s brain by asking a series of ‘how’, ’why’, ’what’, ’when’ and so on. Likewise, your child will also reach a stage (when he’ll be 2-4 years) that he’ll be all about the questions. LET THEM ASK QUESTIONS. You need to be concerned if he isn’t asking, but if he is - pay attention and answer them well. Why?? Because what you say and how to react will be the answer to the question for them.

2. Connect their interests with teaching

There are certain things that every parent should teach their kids. However, if you teach them in a way that kids love, nothing would be better than that. For example, simple maths questions can be taught with the help of food items that they love to eat. Likewise, kids online shopping would help them learn about colors, choices, personality and more. Hence, try to connect the learning with what they love.

3. Allow mistakes but rectify them

Mistakes are a part of life but the way you treat them is what brings out the better person. When your child makes a mistake, you DO NOT have to scold him or shout at him or even raise your hand. Just sit down calmly and make the whole situation understood to him and the consequences. Amidst all this, you also have to make sure that you DO NOT ignore the mistake and look past it.

4. Give treats when the results are positive

Positive reinforcement is quite necessary for your kid to understand the difference between the good learning and the wrong learning. Give them good food, tutu dress, boys t-shirt, an outing or anything that serves as a good reinforcement for your child. This way, the love for learning will be encouraged.

Build the confidence in your kids with these tips

Little girl with mother

Wouldn’t you be glad if you could raise your kids who are very confident? A positive sense of self is one of the greatest gifts you can give to your child. The young minds are the fertile lands which can be cultivated with love and care to be independent being when they grew up.

In order to help your kids be the confident souls, following are some tips that can help you in their building and growing years.

1. Love is necessary

Love is one the most important lesson that you teach your kids and with this, they become people like you when they grow up. When you are loving with your children, the feeling itself builds in the sense of confidence in them that they come up to you when they cannot go someone else. When they see you imparting love in the family, they become stronger personalities who would want to do the same. Hence, love is necessary.

2. Let them choose

Giving choices to your children allows them to understand what’s right and what’s wrong with them. The other day I was looking for frocks for baby girl when my little one came up to me and pointed out to what she liked. Little did I know that she was so fascinated by the colors of kids fashion dresses that I had to buy it for her. Likewise, when you are doing something for your kids, give them options and let them choose for themselves. This way your kids are growing stronger and more confident from within.

3. Let them know about the flaws - and you still accept them

In the growing years, you have to tell your kids that nobody is perfect and everyone has flaws. Give them examples of flaws that you yourself have and make sure that they relate to them. In addition to all this, you also have to give the assurance to them that they are accepted with all the flaws.

4. Encourage them to play sports - enhance teamwork

We all understand that working in the team helps you build your personality the positive way. Did you know that when you are assigned a task in the team, your kid feels responsible for finishing the task? You have to tell your child that he/she has to play his/her role to the best without forgetting the other team members.

With these ways, your child will surely be the confident soul in his/her growing years.
